6 ways to improve your trading and life (part 1)

In this blog, you will see how you can improve your trading performance by doing things in life that are outside your trading, but they have a big impact on your discipline, patience, and self-control. Every successful trader knows, that these characteristics are necessary for profitable trading, so do everything to be disciplined, patient person with strong self-control.

1. Sport

If everyone was doing some sport, there would be no obesity, fewer illnesses, and more vital and healthy people. Folks who don’t do any sport have no idea what they’re missing because it is not just about the physical benefits, but mostly the psychological advantages. When you regularly do sport you feel like a better, healthier, stronger person, and in fact, you are. Regularly sweating and giving it all you got is more beneficial than people can think.

Everyone goes through difficulties in life and there are emotions that stay inside of you that you need to get out of your body and you can do that by playing tennis, football, basketball or whatever sport you know you enjoy doing. When you sit at a computer and you are going to trade you need to be calm, relaxed and emotionless. Doing sports regularly can help you achieve that.

2. Healthy food

This is a complex subject, so let’s make it short. It’s as important to have a balance in life as in your eating habits. A lot of people do not realize this, but what you eat has a big impact on how you think, feel and what you do. For example, it is recommended to eat your last meal earlier than 3 hours before you go to sleep because if you eat right before you go to bed your quality of sleep will be worse, waking up will be harder and the start of the next day can be rough and may affect the whole day.

Try and observe how you feel after eating healthy and unhealthy food. Most of the time the unhealthy food takes your energy instead of giving it to you. There is no need to be the saint and perfect, but there should be balance in eating habits.

3. Ice bath

One of the best things you can do for your body and mind is to regularly do an ice bath. You will be a lot healthier and feel better. Diseases will become your past because ice bathing boosts your immunity in a strong way! It also causes that your mood is better, and you feel happy and calm. Moreover, you regularly overcome the fear and discomfort. It’s very uncomfortable to go in a cold water and the more often you do it the stronger you become and the easier it will become to overcome fear in the future in almost anything!

Another thing that ice bathing helps with is to have things under control and don’t panic. It’s important to breathe deeply and slowly to stay calm because fast and irregular breathing is going to make it harder for you. When you trade, you can’t allow yourself to panic and things must be under control. Ice bathing will help you achieve that.
